Dan Lipton has earned a solid reputation as one of the busiest musicians in New York City. He is a musical chameleon forging a dynamic, diverse career, effortlessly straddling the uptown/downtown divide.
Lipton performs and records with NYC's most artful rock bands (Kill Henry Sugar, Nova Social, Yazbek) as well as its brightest concert artists (Adam Guettel, Audra McDonald). Having played at Carnegie Hall and Chicago's Symphony Center, Lipton made his mark on Broadway as the youngest member of THE FULL MONTY band and its Grammy-nominated album.
Dan Lipton's second album LIFE IN PICTURES recently earned an ASCAPlus Award for popular music. It is a genre-hopping collection of widescreen, sonic pop. His own distinctive arrangements create an acoustic-electro-orchestral world of guitar rock, jazz jams, drum loops, accordions, harps, horns and strings... a new sonic palette for every track.
